Hickman Sector One is a 1/1 limited edition original oil painting from Rachael Clegg’s Sound Stories series in which she transforms sound recordings into abstract art. Hickman Sector One is based on nine-times TT winner Peter Hickman’s record breaking lap of 135.452mph, which he smashed in 2018. Hickman kindly supplied Rachael with his onboard footage for his entire record-breaking lap for her to use as the basis of her series. This particular painting follows Hickman’s sound from a standing start at the Grandstand to Union Mills. Rachael’s paintings offer the viewer an insight into Hickman’s dramatic speed changes throughout the 37 and three quarter mile TT course.
