Hickman Sector Nine is an original 1/1 oil painting from Rachael Clegg’s Sound Stories series in which she transforms sound recordings into abstract art. Hickman Sector Nine is based on nine-times TT winner Peter Hickman’s record breaking lap of 135.452mph, which he smashed in 2018. Hickman kindly supplied Rachael with onboard footage of his entire record-breaking lap for her to use as the basis of her series. This particular painting follows Hickman’s sound from Ramsey Hairpin to Black Hut, offering the viewer an insight into Hickman’s dramatic speed changes throughout this particular sector of the IOM TT course.

The canvas measures 80cm by 80cm and is painted in oils. Colours are inspired by Hickman’s livery but interpreted so as to create a striking piece of abstract art.
